About this file

This is an Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Proposal issued by the Paulding County Board of Commissioners in Dallas, Georgia for a turnkey P25 Public Safety emergency radio system (RFP#22024-2701). The addendum, dated March 4, 2022, modifies the original proposal documents and is binding on all bidders, who must acknowledge receipt on the Amendment Certification form or face potential disqualification. The proposal deadline is May 5, 2022. The addendum addresses mandatory site visits to fire station facilities requiring Fire Station Alerting sub-system equipment as specified in Section 17 of the RFP. Site visits to fire stations will occur in conjunction with or immediately following radio site visits scheduled for March 8th and 9th, with visits expected to extend into March 9th due to the number of locations. While fire station visits are not mandatory, vendors are welcome to attend. Vendors should anticipate limited parking at some radio sites and are encouraged to arrange shared transportation.

The addendum does not address pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding sources, or contract duration. These details would be contained in the primary RFP documents. All prospective bidders received this addendum via email and through online posting, with questions directed to purchase@paulding.gov.

Question:

1.2.3 Mandatory Site Visits: Can the County accommodate site visits to each of the fire station facilities that will require Fire Station Alerting sub-system equipment specified in Section 17 of the RFP. Can these fire station visits be accommodated on the same days as the other site visits, or the same week of March 8th and 9th?

Answer: Visits to the Fire Stations will occur in conjunction with, or immediately after, the Radio Site Visits on March 8th and 9th. The Fire Station visits were not listed as mandatory in the RFP but any vendor who wishes may attend. Due to the number of radio sites and fire stations, it is expected that the combined site visits will extend into March 9th. Also, vendors should prepare for limited parking at some radio sites and are encouraged to arrange for sharing transportation.
