About this file

This addendum document pertains to the Request for Proposals issued by Bethel School District 52 in Lane County, Oregon, for comprehensive student transportation services. The RFP, issued on October 21, 2025, solicits proposals for home-to-school transportation, individualized transportation, and trip services. The district requires management of approximately 17 home-to-school buses with spare capacity, including vehicles meeting specific wheelchair accessibility requirements. Proposals are due by November 17, 2025, at 2:00 PM PST. The anticipated contract period begins July 1, 2026, with an initial five-year term. The successful contractor will be responsible for developing and managing bus routes, maintaining the specified fleet, and supporting all district transportation needs except special education transportation, which the district will continue to handle internally.

Evaluation criteria emphasize service quality, performance record, driver training, safety programs, community relations, and overall cost. Proposers must demonstrate financial stability, provide detailed company qualifications, and submit comprehensive supplemental information covering driver personnel, equipment, facilities, and environmental sustainability. Proposers are required to submit a detailed rate schedule for various bus types and service configurations. The RFP does not specify a particular budget range or award value, nor does it identify an incumbent vendor or include set-aside designations for disadvantaged enterprises. The district reserves the right to reject any proposals and will make final selections based on a holistic review of submitted materials.
