About this file
This document is an Addendum (No. 02) issued by alt32 Architecture | Design for the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Department for Facilities and Support Services, specifically for the Envelope Restoration project at the Ravenna Readiness Center for the Department of Military Affairs. The addendum, dated August 12, 2025, provides critical clarifications for bidders on RFB-35-26, including specific modifications to the original bid documents. Key changes include removing existing concrete stairs and landings, specifying new copper flashing requirements using Hohmann & Barnard's Copper-Fabric™ NA Copper Fabric Flashing, constructing window systems from storefront materials, and removing all references to ballistic and bullet resistance in favor of blast resistance.
The addendum also details storm water management requirements, mandating the installation of 8" schedule 40 PVC pipes below grade from six downspouts on the front and side of the building, with back-of-building downspouts discharging to an existing flume. Additionally, the document stipulates that no additional site visits are available prior to the bid date, and contractors must patch repair pavement with new blacktop that matches existing thicknesses. Bidders are instructed to acknowledge receipt of this addendum in their proposal and are governed by the information contained herein, which becomes part of the contract documents.
