About this file

This Addendum Two document is issued by BCCLT Consulting Engineers for the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Department for Facilities and Support Services, specifically for an Upgrade/Replace Access Control System project at Central State Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky, under Invitation to Bid No. RFB-198-25. The addendum provides clarifications and responses to several bidder questions, including specifications for an on-premises access control system that will be stand-alone and not integrated with the existing video management system. The document indicates that bidders must acknowledge receipt of the addendum on their proposal/bid form.

Key technical details include that the access control system should be on-premises, with no specific requirements for visitor management or integration with the fire alarm system. The contractors are responsible for providing a fully operational system, including all necessary programming, and should refer to the construction documents and specifications for detailed requirements. The project involves replacing the existing access control system, with the exact equipment and cable reuse to be determined by reviewing the specifications and drawings. Working hours and specific installation details are to be found in the special conditions section of the project specifications.

5. Is there a requirement for a visitor management system or integration in this project.

BCCLT Response: Refer to specifications.

6. How far is the panel on print E1.2 being moved (from above ceiling to a room)? This will most likely affect what cables can be reused if that is requested there.

BCCLT Response: New panel is shown on the same sheet.

7. Exactly what equipment/cables are being reused and what is being replaced (contacts, strikes, fob readers)? There seemed to be some confusion at the meeting about this.

BCCLT Response: Refer to specs and drawings.

8. What are the working hours?

BCCLT Response: Refer to special conditions section of the specs.

9. Does the panel need to be on a dedicated circuit for power? If so there didn't appear to be enough room on the wall we looked at in C and we may need electricians.

BCCLT Response: It is the contractors’ responsibility to provide fully operation system.

10. Will they have IT on site, or will we be communicating with programmers remotely?

BCCLT Response: It is the contractors’ responsibility to provide all required programing.
