About this file
This is Addendum No. 2 to an Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) issued by the California Department of Transportation for painting, window, door, and gutter installation services at a facility in Los Angeles County. The scope of work includes the installation of 10 new dual pane, aluminum clad commercial grade windows with tinted glass and clear aluminum frames; installation of 3 new steel or aluminum framed commercial pre-hung doors with fire-rated specifications and ANSI/BHMA Grade 1 certified closers; painting preparation, primer coating, and painting services for approximately 1,170 square feet of exterior structure including all exterior walls, garage door, new doors and trim; and gutter system installation. The mandatory pre-bid site inspection was held on March 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. The final date for quote submission is March 31, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific Time, with a proposed award date of April 7, 2026. Contractors are required to perform their own measurements prior to ordering materials or commencing work.
The addendum addresses 12 questions received from prospective bidders and provides clarifications on technical specifications, licensing requirements, and work scope. Painting specifications require standard primer and paint applications using materials from specified manufacturers (Sherwin-Williams, Dunn-Edwards, or Vista), with electrical conduit to be painted over while electrical boxes, lighting, and security cameras are masked off. The document clarifies that only exterior work is included and that contractors are not responsible for moving or storing items adjacent to the building. Licensing requirements are addressed regarding whether C-33 contractors can subcontract non-painting scope to B-licensed general contractors. A hazardous materials report to identify lead paint and asbestos presence is noted as pending.
