About this file
This document is an Addendum to a Request for Offers (RFO) issued by Marion County Public Works (the County) for the purchase of recovered timber from Niagara County Park. The Park's trees were rendered hazardous due to the Beachie Creek Wildfire in September 2020, and the County is now soliciting offers from third-party firms to purchase, load, and haul all decked timber off-site. The Addendum clarifies that if the destination of the purchased timber uses a scale for pulp quality timber in lieu of MBF measurement, a conversion factor of 5.5 tons per MBF will be applied to determine the offeror's final purchase price in MBF. Additionally, the Addendum confirms that there is no known utility infrastructure that the purchaser should be aware of to successfully access and remove the timber.
The RFO is for the sale of recovered timber at Niagara County Park located in Gates, Oregon. There are no set-asides, incumbents, or specific funding sources mentioned in the documents. The pricing terms are based on the conversion factor outlined in the Addendum, and the successful offeror will be required to remove all timber from the Park.
