About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to Invitation to Bid (RFB-148-24) issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, for plumbing upgrades and repairs at the Christian County Rest Area on Westbound I-24 at Mile Marker 92 in Christian County, Kentucky, in conjunction with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet. The project involves plumbing upgrades and repairs at the specified rest area facility. The original bid date has been changed to January 30, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Time, with bid reading information remaining the same. Bidders are directed to refer to an addendum to be distributed by Lynn Imaging for all additions, deletions, and changes to specifications and drawings.

The addendum includes a demolition plan sheet with keyed notes detailing specific work requirements, including removal of existing slab and underground cast iron waste piping, protection of work areas from dust and debris, shutdown of air handling units during demolition, and controlled construction access through designated entrances. The contractor must provide temporary restroom facilities (two regular and two ADA-compliant units) for the full project duration and grind and resurface the men's restroom floor (approximately 396 square feet total, or 198 square feet per side) to match existing color and design as authorized by DECA and KYTC. Susan Ward, Statewide Procurement Analyst II, serves as the primary contact for the procurement, with TRG PSC Architects-Engineers-Landscape Architects (The Roberts Group) located in Lexington, Kentucky providing design services.
