This is Addendum No. 1 to an Invitation to Bid (RFB-134-26) issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, for a Fitness Center Renovation at Lake Barkley State Resort Park in Cadiz, Kentucky. The addendum, dated November 26, 2025, amends the original specifications and drawings dated September 19, 2025 (Project No. 2410-314) and includes modifications across specifications, civil work, architectural elements, and responses to bidder questions. Key revisions include replacement of Specification Section 088000 (Glazing), addition of York/JCI as an approved split system air conditioner manufacturer, modifications to site demolition and development plans including existing gate removal and reinstallation, and addition of shear dowels to site detail drawings. The addendum addresses critical design clarifications regarding floor finish removal requirements, mirror specifications in the weight room addition and cardiovascular equipment room, exterior glazing specifications, storefront door and frame reuse and orientation, ceramic tile installation specifications behind lockers, tile flooring specifications in corridors and wet sauna/steam room applications, setting material options for tile installation, and tile base treatments in bathrooms and sauna areas. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of the addendum on their final bid documents.

The addendum provides detailed technical guidance on tiling installations, particularly for wet environments, including reference to TCNA standards SR614-25 and SR613-25 for steam room installations. Approved substitutions include Laticrete's Multimax Lite as an acceptable setting material in lieu of epoxy for tile installation. Glazing specifications have been updated to require insulating glass units with PPG Solarban 60 on Clear Low E #2 Glass (or comparable products from AFG Glass or Viracon) with specific performance requirements including a minimum visible light transmittance of 70 percent, winter nighttime U-Factor of 0.29 maximum, summer daytime U-Factor of 0.27 maximum, and solar heat gain coefficient of 0.39 percent maximum. The project involves comprehensive renovation work including demolition, pool enclosure, fitness center improvements, and associated site work, with all addendum changes becoming binding upon the contract to be issued in response to the invitation to bid.

P a g e | 2 of 3

1-8 Q: Sheet A-ID1.2 shows mirrors in weight room addition 121 & cardiovascular equipment 120. We are not shown details or sections of these rooms to estimate how many of what sized mirrors are needed for these rooms. Please advise.

A: Mirror length is as shown A-ID1.2. New mirrors height to match existing adjacent mirror height.

Contractor to verify on site.

1-9 Q: We are not given a glass type, what kind of low-e and/or tint is required for exterior glazing on this project?

A:See revised Specification 088000 as noted above.

1-10 Q: Note 18 on sheet A-D1.1 references a right-hand storefront door and frame that are to be salvaged and reused. On sheet A-A2.1, door 116 has note 6 referencing reusing a storefront door and frame from demolition. This door is drawn on a whole other side of the frame and is shown to be a left-hand door.

Please advise.

A: See revised Sheet A-A2.1 as noted above.

1-11 Q: RE: Plan Elev. 7/A-A11.1 & 11/A-A11.2; Will wall tile be required behind lockers?

A: Tile is not required behind the lockers.

1-12 Q: RE: Finish Schedule A-ID1.1 & Finish Plan A-ID1.2; Please verify flooring finish at room 104 Corridor; CT-

04 as per finish schedule (not recommended for floors) or CT01/Exist as per finish plan.

A: Tile on floor to be CT01 per floor plan.

1-13 Q: Is any of the existing ceramic floor tile installed over recessed slabs?

A: This is an unknown condition. We have assumed an existing mud bed in showers only and tile on slab in the remainder of the locker rooms.

1-14 Q: RE: Wet Sauna / Steam Room Tile Installation; In addition to the provided plan detail 5/A-ID1.1 & room finish schedule comment #2 regarding tile installation, can TCNA SR613-25 and/or TCNA SR614-25 installation recommendations be added to specifications section 093000-Tiling? Tiled steam rooms require very specialized installation systems as to avoid any potential moisture issues. Attached are the TCNA recommendations for review.

A: TCNA SR614-25 should be followed for the steam room as it is assumed the walls are of steel stud construction. If existing conditions warrant TCNA SR613-25 should also be followed.

1-15 Q: RE: Specifications Section 09300-Tiling, Item Setting Materials Item 2.3.B; The only setting product listed for all applications is epoxy adhesive & mortar. Epoxy adhesive has a much higher price point than latex-based mortars. Also, it is not typically recommended for large format tile installations due to it’s thinner consistency. Can a high-performance latex-based mortar be considered? Such as Laticrete’s Multimax Lite? (see attached product data)

A: Laticrete’s Multimax Lite or equal is an acceptable setting material in lieu of epoxy.

1-16 Q: RE: Restroom elevations on plan sheets A-A11.1 & A-A11.2, Tile Base Detail 1/A-ID1.1 and base tile note on Wet Sauna Tile detail 5/A-ID1.1; Please clarify the desired base for restrooms, shower stalls and steam room applications. Tile base as per elevations & wet sauna detail or Schluter base as per 1/A-ID1.1?

A: In the wet sauna, due to the harsher environment, use ceramic tile cove base to match the floor, in all other areas use Dilex AHK where the floor and wall meet.

1-21 Q: Is there a tile base in all the bathrooms and Wet Sauna, or is it wall tile meeting floor tile only?

A: In the wet sauna, due to the harsher environment, use ceramic tile cove base to match the floor in all other areas use Dilex AHK where the floor and wall meet.

1-22 Q: In Corridor 104 the Finish Schedule calls for CT-04 a 4"x4" ceramic tile, is this correct?

A: Tile on floor to be CT01 per floor plan.

1-23 Q: Is the intent to still use large format tile around the floor drains and shower drains in the bathrooms?

A: Per Finish Plan Note 8 on A-ID1.2, cut tile to slope to drains in showers.

3.4 GASKET GLAZING (DRY)

A. Fabricate compression gaskets in lengths recommended by gasket manufacturer to fit openings exactly, with allowance for stretch during installation.
