About this file
This is an addendum document issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, for Invitation to Bid No. RFB-60-27, a re-advertisement of RFB-282-26 for HVAC Repair and Replacement services at KSP-Post 2 in Nortonville, Kentucky. The project, numbered 2601-130, involves modifications to the original specifications and drawings dated July 31, 2026. The addendum clarifies facility maintenance hours as 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. EST with flexibility available, and identifies Lieutenant Jonathan Murphy (270-543-6385) as the on-site point of contact for pre-bid facility review. Bidders are instructed to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their final bid documents. The addendum includes reference materials such as original construction drawings indicating roof deck thickness and photographs of the attic to facilitate contractor assessment given access difficulties.
The addendum addresses eight specific contractor questions and clarifications regarding construction parameters and existing conditions. Key clarifications include roof opening dimension allowances (minimum 12" x 24" openings without angle frames), the roofing warranty holder (Miller Roofing and Construction LLC, 270-399-9132), and guidance on abandoned above-ceiling items—specifying that non-concealed items must be removed and openings patched and painted to match adjacent construction. All original specifications and drawings remain binding except as modified by this addendum. Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum to be considered responsive to the invitation to bid.
