About this file
This is Addendum One to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) for wayfinding signage services, identified as GWCCA061823EC, dated July 5, 2023. The addendum addresses discrepancies identified by prospective bidders regarding sign specifications, message schedules, and design intent drawings. Key clarifications include confirmation that message schedules take precedence over elevation drawings for sign types G.1.2, G.1.3, and several others; confirmation that custom plywood millwork and laminate specifications are the signage vendor's responsibility; and updates to include previously omitted sign types G.L.2, G.L.3, and G.L.4 on the message schedule. Additionally, the addendum clarifies that sign type U5 consists of six spanning units extending across exhibit hall entries rather than wall-mounted units, and that sign type P exhibit hall blade signs are mounted to a slanted wall and require appropriate pricing considerations.
The addendum provides general information essential for proposal preparation, including assumptions that wall patching and painting will extend to obvious reveal or termination points, confirmation that demolition and installation dates will be determined closer to the installation date based on GWCC event schedules, and guidance on power connections (to be priced within 5 feet of signage) and data connections (to be provided by GWCC). Bidders are instructed to contact Craig Katt regarding digital component specifications (vu|scor) and directed to acknowledge receipt of the addendum prior to the proposal due date. The original RFP documents were dated June 19, 2023, and a communication restriction remains in effect prohibiting all parties from communicating with Authority staff, GWCC officials, or consultants except through the formal question submission process.

General Information
1. Demolition/Patching & Painting – It is to be assumed that a wall requiring patching and painting will have to be painted in its entirety or at least until an obvious reveal or termination point is present
2. Demolition/Installation schedule – dates will be confirmed closer to the installation date as it will be impacted by events occurring within GWCC
3. For any information concerning the specified digital components (vu|scor) please reach out to Craig Katt (605 864-3240, craig@vuscor.com)
4. When pricing power for any signage requiring it, please price a connection within
5’ of signage; majority of locations should have access to power in close proximity (any locations that do not will be coordinated on a case-by-case basis). Data connections, if required, will be provided by the GWCC team.
5. Per the discussion during the pre-bid meeting, the icon specification for sign types C and P have been updated to be accurate.
6. Sign Type P – exhibit hall blade signs are mounted to a slanted wall; please factor this in when pricing
This addendum will be a part of RFQ GWCCA061823EC and modifies the original proposal documents dated June 19, 2023 as noted.
NOTE: A signed acknowledgement of this addendum should be received by this office prior to the due date or should be attached to your proposal. A signature on this addendum does not constitute your signature on the original proposal document.
