About this file

This is Addendum One to an Invitation for Bid issued by the Georgia World Congress Center Authority for carpet cleaning services in Georgia. The addendum modifies the original solicitation for specialized carpet cleaning services. The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all submittals, waive technicalities and irregularities, or cancel the procurement at any time. A communication restriction is in effect from the time of advertisement until final award, prohibiting interested firms from communicating with Authority staff, GWCC officials, or their consultants about the solicitation or scope, except for formal question submission as outlined in the IFB or through existing work agreements.

Finalists and apparent awardees are further restricted from making public statements or press releases regarding their selection or apparent award status. Violation of these communication restrictions may result in rejection of the offending respondent's submittal. The specific details regarding pricing terms, contract duration, renewal options, funding sources, and other salient contractual provisions are not detailed in this addendum summary, but firms should refer to the original IFB and all addenda for complete procurement requirements and award criteria.

ADDENDUM ONE

GEORGIA WORLD CONGRESS CENTER AUTHORITY

CARPET CLEANING SERVICES Bid #100422MM

Addendum Issue Date: October 14, 2022

From: Georgia World Congress Center Authority

Purchasing Office

285 International Boulevard NW Atlanta, Georgia 30313

Addendum 1 is hereby issued to incorporate the following as requirements of Bid

#100422MM:

Can you please clarify the scope and purpose of each bond type? GWCCA recently invested heavily in close to 1,000,000 square feet of Shaw eco solution q® nylon carpet.

We need to ensure that processes used do not damage the carpet in any way and that it extends the manufacturer’s specified life expectancy of the floor system while meeting warranty requirements. We are requiring the performance bond to guarantee satisfactory completion of the project. With the payment bond, to ensure subcontractors if used are protected against non-payment.

This addendum will be a part of Bid #100422MM and modifies the original proposal documents dated October 4, 2022 as noted.

NOTE: A signed acknowledgement of this addendum should be received by this office prior to the due date or should be attached to your proposal. A signature on this addendum does not constitute your signature on the original proposal document.
