About this file
This is Addendum No. 2 to an Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ 08A3805) issued by the California Department of Transportation for the removal and replacement of rolling gates and gate operators in San Bernardino County. The addendum clarifies that the contractor must replace the gates and connect them to existing equipment and power, with two gate operators being 3-phase motors. The specifications include replacing four existing presence sensors mounted on walls, installing safety edges, and maintaining the current 13'6" by 13' gate dimensions mounted between jambs. The contractor must also ensure compatibility with existing knox, keylock, and access systems.
The document is focused on technical clarifications rather than pricing or funding details. It specifies that electrical work is not part of the scope, though the contractor must connect to existing power infrastructure. The addendum maintains all other terms and conditions from the original IFPQ. The project appears to be a direct replacement of existing infrastructure while maintaining compatibility with current security and access control systems.
