About this file

This document is Addendum No. 2 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 2125 issued by the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) for the procurement of SKF Only Bearing-Cylindrical Roller Gearbox. The addendum responds to questions from potential bidders regarding the bid submission process, tax exemptions, delivery location, invoicing and payment terms, and bid acceptance through the eMMA system. The IFB is for a one-time purchase, and the estimated quantities may change. Bids must be submitted via mail or hand delivery by the bid closing date, and no electronic submissions are accepted. A pre-bid conference call is scheduled for October 30, 2023, at 10:00 am.

The MTA is a tax-exempt entity, and bidders should refer to the attached Sales and Use Tax Exemption Certificate for more information. The payment terms are specified in the Mandatory Terms and Conditions document, and the IFB is a one-time purchase, so the standard verbiage regarding fixed pricing and quantities does not apply.
