About this file
This document is an Addendum to Invitation for Bid (IFB-CA-20-127) issued by the Purchasing Department of Pasco County, Florida, for the Repair and Seal Clarifier project at the Shady Hills Wastewater Treatment Facility. The addendum provides clarifications and responses to twelve specific questions from potential bidders, addressing details about the project scope, which involves sealing the interior concrete walls and floors of a clarifier with a capacity of 535,510 gallons. The document indicates that the contractor will be responsible for submitting product documentation for approval, hauling off debris, and ensuring the clarifier is watertight after the sealing work.
The addendum outlines key technical specifications, including that the sealing work will focus on concrete surfaces, with no coating required for metal components. The contractor must prepare surfaces based on the specific application method, which may involve either removing existing coatings or applying new sealant over them. After completion, Pasco County will fill the clarifier with water and verify its water-tightness for one week before approving payment. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on their bid form, with failure to do so potentially resulting in bid rejection. The opening date for the bid remains unchanged, and potential bidders are directed to contact the Purchasing Department at (727) 847-8194 for any additional questions.
