1.
4.2 18
Our temperature transmitters can measure up to 4 RTD sensors from a single unit. Is it acceptable to measure more than just two RTDs from a single transmitter?
No. We require 24 data loggers with dual (2) sensors that can monitor adjacent pieces of equipment. The remaining pieces of equipment require single sensors.
2.
4.2 18
Do you have specific mounting requirements – IE, do you have existing thermowells that new RTD sensors must fit within?
We have an existing system with the current vendor’s thermowells. New sensors do not have to fit in existing thermowells.
3.
4.2 18
Do you require tracible calibration certificates to NIST or any other regulating body?
Yes. The RTD probes must have traceable calibration certificates. Either ISO or NIST certification is acceptable.
4.
4.2 18
We provide both WIFI and LTE (Cellular) temperature transmitters. LTE has the advantage of not interacting with your existing WIFI network. The downside is the additional cost for the cellular connection/data. For many of our customers the question comes down to how willing their IT department is to allowing 3rd party devices onto the network. Would you prefer LTE or WIFI devices?
Wi-Fi devices.
5.
4.2 18
Is 110V AC power available to charge the temperature transmitters? Our transmitters include an optional rechargeable battery Batteries are required for all our data loggers/transmitters.
Some units may take advantage of an AC power supply, but must have a backup battery in case of a power failure.

6.
4.2 18
Do you want the ‘cloud-based continuous monitor system’ managed/hosed by your own equipment, or our servers?
We are willing to explore both options (housed by our own equipment or vendor servers).
7.
Will the vendor be allowed to connect Wi-Fi/Ethernet gateways to the Department's network, or must the system utilize cellular gateways that operate independently of the Department's infrastructure?
Vendor will be allowed to connect to the Department’s Wi- Fi network with approval.
8.
Do all the probes need to be RTD probes, or are other types acceptable, such as for room monitoring?
We prefer RTD probes due to their accuracy and stability.
Any other probe that might be used for room temperature monitoring should meet the same performance criteria as RTDs.
9.
Do you require the probes to have a traceable NIST calibration certification?
See answer to Question 3.
10.
Sonicu technology meets all of the criteria in the RFP, however, the RFP lists specific part numbers that we recognize as items associated with a competing solution.
Are these items listed as examples or will those specific line items be the only ones considered for purchase?
Yes, they are listed as examples.
11.
Would a cellular failover option for redundancy be valuable for your location?
Yes. We expect the data loggers to have sufficient internal memory to log data for at least 48 hours until the network is restored. For this reason, the data loggers must have internal batteries.
12.
Will you require annual NIST-calibration of sensors?
No.
13.
Is the availability of a mobile app valuable for your location?
Yes.
14.
Will an on-site walk-through be offered for this RFP? (Due to the complexity of buildings an on-site would be preferred by our company.)
No, but we can provide floor plans if requested. Any request for floor plans shall be emailed to the Procurement Officer as they are the sole point of contact for this solicitation.

15.
In lieu of a walk-through, are there floor plans available that show where the equipment is located?
Yes. We could provide you with a floor plan.
16.
If a system is capable of having more than two pieces of equipment on one data logger, is this acceptable for this
RFP?
See answer to Question 1.
17.
Is there a preference for cloud-based server hosting or internally hosted servers?
Cloud-based.
18.
Is ISO 17025 calibration of sensors preferred or is NIST calibration suffice?
See answer to Question 3.
19.
Do you have a floorplan of the facility?
See answer to Question 15.
