About this file

This Addendum No. 1 modifies the solicitation for ITB 26-20-214605 Bridge 106.2 Handrail Repair issued by the Alaska Railroad Corporation (ARRC). The addendum changes the non-mandatory site visit date from June 4, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. to Tuesday, June 11, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. due to railroad train traffic considerations. The site visit location remains at the intersection of E 104th Ave and the Alaska Railroad Mainline in Anchorage, with attendees required to arrive by 10:45 a.m. and provide their own transportation. ARRC representatives will conduct a safety briefing and provide an escort onto ARRC property. Attendees must supply their own hardhats, safety vests, protective footwear, and safety glasses. Interested firms are encouraged to pre-register by May 1, 2026, by contacting Sarah Wallace at wallaces@akrr.com. All other terms and conditions of the original ITB remain unchanged, including the sealed bid submission deadline of June 18, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. at ARRC's Anchorage office located at 327 West Ship Creek Avenue.

Bidders must acknowledge receipt of this addendum and all other addenda in their firm's Supply Bid Form (Form 395-0129) when submitting their sealed bids. The project scope includes removal, modification, fabrication, and reinstallation of east-side handrail and fencing components at Bridge 106.2 (O'Malley Road Overpass), with work to be completed by November 15, 2026 for substantial completion and December 15, 2026 for final completion. Alaska bidders receive a 5% preference, and qualifying Alaska veterans receive an additional 5% preference. Funding is provided through ARRC internal funding. Bid security of 5% of the bid price, along with payment and performance bonds each equal to 100% of contract value, are required. Alaska prevailing wage or U.S. Department of Labor Davis-Bacon wages (whichever is higher) apply, with contractors required to submit weekly certified payrolls within seven days of each pay period. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
