About this file

This document is an Addendum No. 1 for a procurement opportunity by the Maryland Department of Health - Laboratories Administration to provide clerical support to the Newborn Screening unit that processes clinical specimens submitted to the State Public Health Laboratory. The contract term is from 10/19/2022 to 11/18/2022, with no current extensions. The procurement ID number is BPM032114 and responses are due by 10/14/2022. The document provides responses to four bidder questions, including clarifying the payment terms (net 30), the firm start date (either 10/19 or 10/20), and that the agency does not need to review candidate typing test results.

The pricing terms for this one-month contract are net 30. There is no mention of any set-asides, incumbents, or funding requirements and sources. The document indicates this is a time-sensitive opportunity, as the agency is looking for candidates to start as soon as next week.

Bidders Questions & Answers

Question#1: For the bidder what is the contract terms for the pay net 15, net 30, net 60?

Response#1: Net 30

Question#2: Since the assignment is only one month (10/19/22 to 11/18/2022), is there a possibility of an extension?

Response#2: At this time, there will be no extension, but this could change as the contract moves along. Notification would be given to the vendor as soon as we’re aware of any changes.

Question #3: Is the October 19th contract start date firm?

Response #3: It will be either 10/19/2022 – 10/20/2022 and yes this is firm. We’re looking for candidates to start next week so the vendors vetting process should be expedited.

Question #4: Does the Agency need to review the results of the typing tests of the candidates?

Response #4: No, this is not a requirement, but the selected vendor should retain a copy on file.
