About this file
This document is an addendum to an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by the Maryland Transit Administration (MTA) for Bus Shelters and Spare Parts (IFB No. OPS-23-021-GM). The addendum provides responses to vendor questions, including clarification that the complete shelters must include ad panels, solar LED fixtures, standard MTA map frames, and a three-seat bench, though MTA may delete the ad panel and/or solar LED fixture on an as-needed basis. The addendum also confirms that all parts, including roof assemblies and corner posts, must be interchangeable with MTA's existing shelters.
The IFB seeks to procure complete single barrel and cantilever bus shelters, as well as individual glass panel and other shelter components. Vendors must acknowledge receipt of this addendum as part of their bid submission. The contract term and any renewal options are not specified in the addendum. Regarding pricing, the addendum states that MTA will allow vendors to invoice for shipping costs at a reasonable/market price per truckload, though vendors are responsible for any damage incurred during loading and shipping until MTA accepts delivery.

Questions and Answers
1. Line items one and two are listed as Complete Single Barrel Shelter (including all hardware and glass) and Complete Cantilever Shelter (including all hardware and glass) Is this to be quoted as complete shelters with glass panels on each side and no ad panels or solar LED fixtures included on the complete shelter?
Ad panels and solar LED fixtures are to be included as a complete shelter, as well as the standard MTA map frames (8.5”x11”, 11”x17”, and 42”x54.5”) and one three-seat bench are included as a standard MTA complete shelter). However, when placing orders MTA may delete the ad panel and/or solar LED fixture on an as-needed basis, so shelters must be available without these items if requested.
2. In section 2.3.1 D. 5. it lists the standard MTA map frames, but they are not included on the bid form. Are these to be included in the complete shelter price / BOM?
Included in complete shelter price.
3. The bid specification lists that the glass panels (line items 3-5) must meet the exact specifications of the existing MTA shelters. Do the Roof Assemblies and Corner Posts (line items 7-14) need to be interchange with MTAs existing shelters?
Yes, MTA requires all parts to be interchangeable with existing MTA shelters.
4. Attached D Bid Form list line 20 as Estimated Shipping Costs, but the vendor is responsible for all shipping costs, correct?
MTA will allow vendor to invoice for shipping costs at a reasonable/market price per truckload;
however, as stated in SOW section 2.3.3 the vendor is responsible for any damage incurred during the loading and shipping of materials until MTA accepts delivery at the specified warehouse.
