About this file

This Addendum No. One document is for the Pueblo West Metropolitan District's Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2024-W-002 for the Pixie Park Looping Waterline project. The addendum addresses 11 specific questions from potential bidders regarding project details, including clarifications on bid schedule items, incidental work, rock excavation, dewatering requirements, and measurement and payment specifications. Key modifications include updating earthwork quantities to include fire hydrant excavation, changing units for Aggregate Base Course from cubic yards to linear feet, and adding a larger quantity for rock excavation. The project involves constructing approximately 680 linear feet of six-inch PVC waterline between Gadsden Drive and E. Stewart Drive, with an optional alternate bid for an additional 850 linear feet on S. Cellini Circle.

The bid document indicates a 60-calendar day completion timeline and does not require builders risk insurance. Bidders are advised that there is a possibility of encountering groundwater, though dewatering was not necessary on a similar recent project. The contractor will be responsible for disposing of unsuitable materials like rock, concrete, and asphalt, and must obtain a dewatering permit from the state if groundwater is encountered. The pre-bid meeting was held on March 5, 2024, with 12 contractor representatives attending, representing various construction and underground utility companies. The bid form allows for submission as an individual, partnership, corporation, or joint venture, with provisions for small, minority, or woman-owned businesses to identify themselves.
