About this file
This document is an Addendum No. 1 from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Correction (MADOC) for RFR #18-9043-LIFTS (COMMBUYS Bid #BD-18-1025-DOCFS-FISCM-23187). The addendum extends the original proposal deadline from March 13, 2018 to March 15, 2018 at 2:00 PM due to weather-related conditions. The RFR is seeking qualified vendors to provide purchase, repair, service, inspection, and related parts for the maintenance of all kinds of lifts, as needed. Contracts resulting from this RFR are limited to those commodities and services not available on OSD Statewide procurement. The revised procurement calendar includes key dates such as the bid amendment deadline of March 12, 2018, the initial bid response deadline of March 15, 2018, and the estimated contract start date of March 23, 2018. The addendum also outlines security requirements for bidders visiting the MADOC Central Headquarters in Milford, MA.
Pricing terms, set-asides, incumbents, funding requirements and sources, and other salient details are not provided in this addendum. The addendum focuses on extending the proposal deadline and revising the procurement calendar for this contract opportunity in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Bidders must be aware that the Department of Correction Headquarters, located in Milford MA, is a secure building. Bidders will be required to produce and surrender photo identification to security personnel at the main desk for a visitors pass to the building. Upon leaving the building, Bidder personnel must surrender the visitors pass and reacquire their photo identification. Failure to comply with or any attempt to circumvent these security measures will result in non-admittance to the property.
Please keep these security requirements in mind when considering the “hand delivery” of your response to Department of Correction Headquarters. Notification must be made in advance with the SST leader if you are considering hand delivery as packages are not allowed to be left at the main desk.
All incoming mail and delivered mail (e.g., FedEx and UPS) is screened first by the Department of Correction. Please keep these security processes in mind when mailing or having responses delivered by a delivery company.
