About this file
This Addendum No. 1 modifies the original Request for Sealed Proposals issued by the City of College Park, Georgia for GIS Technician Services (Bid #011922). The City is seeking qualified vendors to provide GIS technician services on a part-time basis. The original proposal submission deadline was Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 9:30 a.m. at the City of College Park Purchasing Department, 3667 Main Street, College Park, Georgia 30337. The addendum clarifies that this is not a new initiative but represents an in-house position previously held by an employee who transitioned to another employment opportunity. Proposals must include a resume along with the service proposal. The City anticipates making one award for this contract.
The City of College Park currently employs one GIS staff member and maintains one ArcGIS Desktop license with ArcGIS Online access through an existing Esri licensing relationship. Approximately 30 percent of the work will involve field operations, with the remaining 70 percent conducted in-office. The City does not currently have professional GPS hardware or field data collection equipment available; vendors must provide or secure their own resources for data collection. Work will involve both personal file geodatabase management and manual data entry into Access databases. The City will provide direction regarding datasets, which include approximately 10 percent CAD format files, and will specify collection of system appurtenances such as fire hydrants, valves, and meters upon request rather than on a routine basis. Bidders must submit a Certificate of Insurance naming the City of College Park rather than actual copies of Workers' Compensation Insurance and Commercial General Liability policies.
