About this file
This is Addendum No. 001 to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by Georgia Institute of Technology, a unit of the University System of Georgia, for Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Athletic Facility Architectural Services under Solicitation/Contract No. 1131-22. The RFQ seeks qualifications from architectural firms to provide architectural services for athletic facility projects on an indefinite quantity basis. Qualifications submittals were due by 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 20, 2022, to be delivered to Lindsey Cottingham, PE, LEED AP, Senior Project Manager in the Design & Construction Office at 151 Sixth Street NW, Atlanta, Georgia 30332-0351. A mandatory virtual prequalification meeting was held prior to the submission deadline. The shortlist of qualified firms was announced on April 29, 2022, with the final selection announcement issued on May 5, 2022.
The addendum clarifies submission requirements, including that qualifications packages must be limited to 25 single-sided sheets inclusive of all materials except tab and cover sheets and signed forms. The SF330 form submission is limited to Section G matrix only, containing relevant project key information and proposed personnel, and must be included within the 25-page limit. Sub-consultants in civil, structural, and mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire protection (MEPF) engineering may be required depending on project scope, with MEPF historically being the most utilized. Specific design experience with athletic facilities is emphasized as a key differentiator. Proposers must submit one electronic copy on a USB drive (5MB or less) as the primary submission method, along with one printed copy for reference. The addendum requires proposers to acknowledge receipt by signing and including an acknowledgment form with their qualifications package.

ADDENDUM NO. 001
This addendum is issued as part of the solicitation entitled:
Request for Qualifications for Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)
Athletic Facility Architectural Services Solicitation/Contract No. 1131-22
A. GENERAL
Please see responses to RFQ Questions received by the deadline:
1. Is the limit for the number of pages fir this RFQ 25 pages – inclusive of all materials, except tab pages or is the limit for the number of pages for this RFQ 25 sheets (double-sided for a total of 50 pages) – inclusive of all materials, except tab pages
Answer 1: Please limit to 25 single sided sheets, inclusive of all materials except tab and cover sheets and the signed forms included in the exhibits.
2. The RFQ limits the page count to 25 - 8 ½ X11 sheets plus the dividers. It also calls for the SF 330 form as well, which has multiple pages and duplicative information. Are we to treat the SF330 form as independent from the 25 pages allowed to respond to the questions and submittal documents? Or must we submit no more than 25 pages total?
Answer 2: The only part of the SF330 form that needs to be filled out is the section G matrix with the project key containing the relevant projects listed elsewhere in your qualifications, and the personnel listed the personnel proposed for this contract. This chart should be included within the 25 pages.
3. Regarding the completed SF330, is that a full 330 Parts I and II to be completed within the 25 page limit?
Answer 3: See answer to question 2.
4. Will Civil, Structural, and MEPF Engineering be required for the Georgia Tech IDIQ Athletic Facility Architectural Services RFQ? We heard Civil may not be needed.

Answer 4: Varying sub-consultants may be needed depending on the type of project. In the past MEPF has been the most heavily used sub-consultants, however, Civil may be needed for programming and concept design studies, and structural may be needed for larger renovation design work. While prime sub-consultants should be listed in response, specific design experience with athletic facilities is what will set the teams apart. If a specialty consultant is not listed on in the selected team’s qualifications (for example, food service or AV) and it is needed in the future it can be added at the time of the project.
5. In the RFQ/P you are asking for 1 electronic copy on a thumb drive (5MB or less) to be delivered to your office. I know there is a greater risk of viruses being imbedded on thumb drives and that file size might reduce the quality of the images we include so would you rather we upload our proposal to you via your file sharing site?
Answer 5: Please provide a physical thumb drive, per the RFP instructions.
Website quality images will be sufficient resolution.
6. Please confirm if we are required to deliver a USB Drive that includes the electronic copy as part of the submission process.
Answer 6: Yes. The electronic copy will be the main way the proposal is delivered to the selection committee. Please also provide 1 printed copy as a back-up for quick reference.
