About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 for the 2025 Street Mill and Overlay Project issued by the Town of Telluride Public Works Department in Colorado. The addendum provides clarifications and updates for the upcoming street maintenance project, which involves asphalt milling between 1-inch and 1.5-inch and an asphalt overlay between 2-inch and 2.5-inch thickness. The project includes an add alternate for an open cut sewer repair involving 13 linear feet of 8-inch SDR 35 PVC pipe. The bid will not have a public opening, but results will be circulated within a week, and bids are to be emailed directly to Tara Ogren rather than submitted through BidNet.
The addendum specifies that all work, materials, and payment items shall comply with Town of Telluride Specifications and CDOT guidelines. Compaction and moisture testing for road base and asphalt are considered subsidiary to their respective line items. Stormwater, Erosion, and Sediment Control measures are expected to be self-performed by the contractor, including protecting gutters, storm sewer inlets, and containing sediment within the work area. The project involves hauling approximately 358 cubic yards of millings, with no more than one-third to be redirected to the Town Public Works Facility.

Addendum No. 1
2025 Street Mill and Overlay Project
1. Add Alternate – Open Cut Sewer Repair: Line Item 6 description: 8-inch SDR 35 PVC (inclusive of two
(2) SS Romac or equal wrap around clamps to connect to existing clay) – 13 LF
2. Bid Opening: Public Works will not hold a public bid opening; however, bid results will be circulated within a week of bid opening.
3. Bid Submittal: Do not enter Bid Pricing or Proposal into BidNet and refer to Advertisement and
Invitation with respect to emailing Tara Ogren (togren@telluride-co.gov) your bid.
4. All work, materials, and payment items shall be in accordance with Town of Telluride Specifications and CDOT General Provisions, Special Provisions, Standard Specifications, Revisions to Standard
Specifications and Supplemental Specifications.
a. As such, compaction and moisture testing for compacted road base, and asphalt compaction testing, are subsidiary (included) within their respective material line items.
5. The Owner anticipates that line items with respect to Stormwater, Erosion, and Sediment Control include protection of gutters and storm sewer inlets with waddles or straw bales, and for sediment from excavations to be contained within the work area via waddles, silt fence, and physical removal.
The Owner anticipates that this line item would be self-performed by the contractor due to the limited volume of work anticipated. Stormwater and E&S Control has not been subcontracted out historically with the mill and overlay program (it has simply been self-performed by the General Contractor). This clarification is meant to serve as guidance only.
6. Millings to be hauled to the wide spot approximate 358 CY. Please anticipate that no more than 1/3 of that quantity will be redirected to the Town Public Works Facility at 1370 W. Black Bear Road.
