About this file
This document is Addendum No. 01 for the Southgate Community Schools 2020 Bond Program, specifically related to a Request for Information (RFI) for Anderson Lighting & Electrical RFP. The addendum, issued on December 9, 2024, provides clarifications for interested bidders regarding a lighting and electrical project at Anderson High School. The document addresses three key questions: warranty expectations for light fixtures (10-year warranty for roadway, parking lot, and bollard fixtures; 25-year warranty for sports lighting), trenching and boring specifications (trenching allowed, with boring required under new asphalt and sidewalks), and contract selection (AIA A105-2017, as modified, will be used).
The project involves installing ten single-head lights and poles, two double-head lights and poles, eight sport lights and poles, and thirteen bollard light poles, along with associated wiring and electrical connections. The lighting must comply with ASHRAE 90.1-2013 standards, with all parking lot and drive lighting controlled through the district's Building Management System. Tennis court lighting will have separate on/off controls, and all light poles and bollards must be square-styled to match existing campus infrastructure. The project includes site restoration, debris removal, and electrical box rough-ins for future power accommodation, with contractors required to obtain necessary permits.

Questions & Responses
1. What are the warranty expectations for the light fixtures for roadway, parking lot lighting, sports lighting, and bollard fixtures?
• 10 year warranty on roadway, parking lot lights and bollard fixtures
• 25 year warranty on sports lighting
2. Would trenching be allowed or does everything need to be bored?
Trenching would be allowed. But, boring will also have to take place underneath asphalt and sidewalks. All sidewalks and asphalt are new. The district does not want to cut the asphalt and sidewalks at this time.
3. What Contract is expected to be used for this project?
There were two contracts included in the RFP. The correct contract that will be used is the
AIA A105-2017, as modified. Please disregard the A201-2017 contract.
