About this file
This Addendum #1 clarification document issued by Floyd County, Georgia Purchasing Department on October 12, 2021, addresses bidder questions regarding the water heater system specifications for the Floyd County Jail facility. The project requires the provision and installation of a hybrid water heater system consisting of two component units that operate in tandem: a Rinnai CU199iN unit rated at 199,000 BTU connected with a CS 120 R unit. Bidders are permitted to submit alternative equipment brands and models provided they are equal in capability to the specified Rinnai system, though alternate equipment does not require prior approval before bid submission.
Bidders submitting alternate equipment must provide complete technical specifications for review and evaluation. The clarification confirms that different brands and models may be proposed as long as they meet the system requirements and performance capabilities outlined for the dual-component hybrid water heater installation at the Floyd County Jail facility.

ADDENDUM #1
FLOYD COUNTY, GEORGIA
PURCHASING
TO: ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS
FROM: Bill Gilliland, Purchasing Director
DATE: October 12, 2021
SUBJECT: Clarification: Water Heaters for the Floyd County Jail
Question: One place it says 'Demand-Duo Hybrid' but on Bid sheet it just says a Tankless. Different models and also no size is specified. Can this be clarified? Does alternate equipment have to be prior approved to bid with?
Answer: You may bid different brands/models, but they should be equal to the ones listed in the bid.
Rinnai Duo Demand – The water heater project actually requires two component heaters to establish a system that operates as we would like. The two Components heaters should work in tandem to meet our water heater needs. A Rinnai CU199iN , 199,000 BTU Unit along with CS 120 R should be connected in tandem to create a hybrid system. Alternate equipment does not have to be approved prior to bid, but you must submit technical specifications of the alternate equipment.
