About this file

This document is an addendum related to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the California Department of Highway Patrol (CHP) for HVAC Shed Reconstruction Services at the CHP South Lake Tahoe Area Office. The addendum provides answers to questions received from potential bidders, confirming that only the metal brackets can be reused, and that a wood frame structure will not be acceptable - the entire structure must be a pre-engineered metal building. The contract opportunity has an ID of 24C246005 and is located in El Dorado County, California.

The scope of work requires the selected contractor to provide all necessary HVAC shed reconstruction services as described in the Scope of Work exhibit. There is no mention of item quantities, response dates, due dates, site visits, bidder's meetings, award dates, or contract term and renewal options in this addendum. Pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements and sources are also not covered in this particular document.

TO ALL PROSPECTIVE BIDDERS:

Re: ADDENDUM #4 - INVITATION FOR BID (IFB), #24C246005 CHP South Lake Tahoe Area Office, HVAC Shed Reconstruction Services

Answers to Questions received from the potential bidders:

No. Questions Answers 1 It was mentioned at the job walk that the foundation could be reused. Could you please confirm if this is acceptable?

The only things that can be reused are the metal brackets; everything else will be demolished to be rebuilt/replaced with a metal structure.

2 Would a wood frame structure be acceptable in place of the Pre-engineered Metal Building (PEMB)?

No, the structure shall remain as Pre-engineered metal building. We would like the entire structure to be metal so the structure can last longer.
