RESPONSE: Refer to revised drawings. Mill and overlay have been removed. 132
31. In the entrance area near West Beverley, Sheet C5.0 calls for "Existing Asphalt to Remain" in the 133 crosswalk and parking areas. This area is also left out of the areas to be milled and overlaid on 134 sheet C-2.0, but on Sheet C-4.0 that same area is shaded as if it is new heavy-duty Asphalt. Which 135 is correct? 136
RESPONSE: Refer to revised drawings. Mill and overlay have been removed. 137
32. L2.0 On sheet L2.0 in the Notes, Note 2. Says the owner is responsible for maintaining shrubs and 138 trees and also replacing any that die. Note 4-6 talks about maintenance but does not specify who is 139 responsible. So, note 2 and 4-6 seem to contradict themselves. Plus, the landscaper should replace 140 any shrubs or trees that die. Should the contractor assume warranting shrubs and trees for 1 yar 141 and the Owner doing the maintenance? Also, can the contractor assume all the evergreens along 142 the border would just have individual mulch rings around them? 143
RESPONSE: Include a 1 year warrantee on shrubs & trees. Owner shall be responsible for 144 maintenance of the trees, shrubs, landscape after it is accepted. Include a mulch ring on the 145 evergreen screening trees individually. 146

RESPONSE: Refer to Drawing SE2.1 for gate control status. Provide Security Hardware Set 155
SH12 at each gate, per Section 111960. 156
36. Addendum 1R detail 1 on Sheet 3.0.3 shows a resilient base which I believe is a special profile 157 from Roppe. The specs do not indicate any special profile, just standard 4-inch cove base. Is the 158 special profile desired and if so, can we get a product name? 159
RESPONSE: Refer to revised specification section 096513 in AD-03 160
March 26, 2024 ADDENDUM NO. 03 Page 5 of 8
37. Spec 096513 Resilient base and accessories, regarding the stair covering a rubber stringer is listed 161 in the products. The manufacturer of the specified tread does not make a matching stringer and 162 stringer is not normally used where there is a mental stringer. Please let us know if a rubber stringer 163 is desired and if so, what product. 164
RESPONSE: Refer to revised specification section 096513 in AD-03 165
38. On the finish plan and finish schedule room 218 Elec calls for C-Tile (carpet tile). Is that correct? 166
RESPONSE: Refer to updated drawing in AD-03. 167

RESPONSE: Indicate as separate allowance. 170
40. Referencing the AIA General Conditions, subparagraph 15.1.7 and the supplementary general 171 conditions revising this subparagraph, please reinstate the original AIA subparagraph 15.1.7 and 172 remove the revision from the project documents. 173
RESPONSE: The City will leave the supplementary language unchanged at 15.1.7. 174
41. Could Delta Controls be added to the list of manufacturers shown in 230900 2.1A? 175
RESPONSE: Yes 176
42. Drawing A3.1.2 General Note A. states, " Provide Manual Roller Shades at all exterior windows 177
UNO. Door, Frame and Glazing Type Keynote 2. stats, "Provide Roller Shades as indicated by 178
Dashed Lines." 1. Are roller shades only required at Types notes with Keynote 2? 2. Are roller 179 shades only required at the Glazing sections with dashed lines? 3. May we exclude Shades at: 180
Doors, Vestibules, stairs, interior glazing? 4. May we exclude shades at: Vestibule 100? 5. Attached 181 is our Shade Plan Takeoff Drawing. Please confirm accuracy. 182
RESPONSE: Refer to drawing A3.1.2 in AD-03. Keynote 2 and dashed lines removed. 183

RESPONSE: Refer to revised specification section 122400 in AD-03. Refer to "Closure Clip" 186 that houses the roller shade mechanism shown in detail 12/A5.2.3. 187
44. Spec section 122400 2.0.2 B. 6 c specifies, " Ceiling pockets." Detail 12/A5.2.3 articulates "Custom 188 sided panel cover by Ceiling Perimeter System manufacturer," and " Ceiling Perimeter System 189
Perimeter Pocket." The panel cover is not available by the Division 12 manufacturers. May be 190 exclude? The pocket is available, however, for consistency, it is recommended that Division 09 191 provide both (Panel Cover and Pocket) for consistency/continuity. May we exclude Pocket? Are 192 panel covers and pockets both color white? 193
RESPONSE: Refer to revised specification section 122400 in AD-03. The "custom sided panel 194 cover" is required due to ceiling heights and recessed pockets that have been noted as, 195
“varies," therefore a specific size will not work for all applications. Panel covers are to be 196
VIF for accuracy for each panel cover size throughout. A full range of standard colors are to 197 be selected by the architect. 198
45. The project manual table of contents list Section 285220 Interview Room Recording System; 199 however, it does not appear that we actually have that Section in the manual. 200
RESPONSE: Delete specification section 285220. 201
46. Please confirm which A305 version should be used. 202
RESPONSE: Refer to specifications in AD-03. 203
47. Addendum 1R, noted a revised Section 285000 Security Control System, however it was not 204 included in the addendum. 205
RESPONSE: Refer to specifications in AD-03. 206
48. Per the electrical service riser shown on Drawing E5.1 feeders 100Y and 225Y are to be installed 207 between the generator and transfer switches. The detail for Duct bank B-B doesn't indicate either 208 of the conduit sizes associated with 100Y or 225Y. Please provide clarification of required conduit 209 sizes and the intent of each conduit shown in the B-B duck bank detail. 210
RESPONSE: Refer to revised drawing E5.1 in AD-03. 211
March 26, 2024 ADDENDUM NO. 03 Page 6 of 8
49. Referencing the excavation scope, it does not clearly state in the bid documents to date what the 212 intentions are of being an unclassified or classified site. There are currently no unit prices for rock 213 or unsuitable materials on the bid form. There are no mention that I see of any allowances or units 214 clearly stated in section 012100, 012100 or 012200. Earthwork section 312000 Definition 1.4 A 215 mentions excavation (except for rock) but the Execution section 3 does not clearly spell out 216 excavations or compensation. Excavation 312000 section part 1.5 Additional Work - part A refers 217 to Paragraph 4.3.4 of the General Conditions for conditions of additional excavation work, yet there 218 is no section 4.3.4 in the General Conditions or reference to excavations in the General Conditions. 219
Can we clearly ask if units can be applied to the bid form? Can the site be fully classified or at least 220 classified BELOW subgrade for rock or unsuitable materials. 221
RESPONSE: Refer to question 12. Site is unclassified to subgrade, refer to quantity 222 allowances in section 012100 and the bid form. 223
50. For the BAS Controls in DIV 23. Is it the intent that the UH’s and CUH’s are to be controlled and 224 monitored on the BAS system? The control flow diagrams to mention it, the sequence of operations 225 reference them, but the equipment specs call for integral thermostats. 226
RESPONSE: UH and CUH to be controlled by BAS system. Equipment spec revised to 227 include unit mounted thermostats rather than integral thermostats. 228
51. Spec 230993, section 2.17 calls for Fire Alarm Monitoring, but just leaves it to monitor dry 229 contacts. Can you confirm the number of dry contacts? Does this system need to be integrated in 230 to the BAS? 231
RESPONSE: System is not integrated with control to the BAS - just monitored by the BAS. 232
Dry contacts for simple status of fire alarm (alarm/normal) 233
52. Spec 230900 , section 2.1 allows for Scheider Electric, but then the following paragraphs refer to 234
Niagra N4. Is a Scheider Electric Head end acceptable for this project or should it be a Tridium 235 front end? 236
RESPONSE: Paragraph updated to remove the specific manufacturer framework/head ends 237 and leave it open to multiple manufacturers set up 238
MODIFICATIONS TO THE PROJECT MANUAL AND DRAWINGS: 240
