About this file
This document is an Addendum No. 2 to a Request for Proposal (RFP) issued by the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) for the Everett Facility Compressor Supply and Installation project. The RFP (No. 132-25) with COMMBUYS Bid BD-26-1206-40000-40000-119610 seeks rotary screw air compressors for the facility. The addendum specifically modifies the original specification for air compressors, changing the required output from a minimum combined 6,400 SCFM Free Air Delivery at 125 PSIG to a minimum capacity of 600-700 CFM to serve four Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) machines that each require 120 CFM at 100 PSIG.
The addendum maintains all other original terms and conditions of the solicitation unchanged, indicating this is a targeted modification to the technical specifications. The document is dated 21 August 2025 and was signed by Amy Reinhart, Strategic Sourcing Manager, suggesting the procurement process is ongoing with potential implementation of the new compressor system in the near future at the MBTA's Everett Facility.
