About this file
This document is an addendum to a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Asbestos Consulting and Monitoring Services issued by Clayton County Public Schools (CCPS). The addendum provides clarification on several questions received from potential respondents, including details on repair responsibilities for destructive sampling, the need to conduct sampling outside of normal business hours, and the interpretation of "general specific capabilities" in the response requirements. It also includes a revised page 16 of the RFP that clarifies the language around the Proponent's team capabilities. The key needs identified by CCPS are providing asbestos surveys, reports, plans, and monitoring for nine upcoming renovation projects, as well as obtaining digital documentation of all asbestos locations.
The RFP seeks to establish a contract for asbestos consulting and monitoring services, with the first need being to support the nine upcoming renovation projects. CCPS does not currently have any major challenges related to asbestos, other than the need to transition from hard copy to digital documentation. The RFP requires respondents to provide details on their methodology, procedures, staffing, and safety protocols for the required services.

Additional Questions and Answers
Question 1. (a) Will the selected consultant be responsible for the repair of building materials that may be damaged through destructive sampling techniques?
(b) Or can the consultant provide temporary patches and/or repairs of the building materials until a professional contractor is secured?
Answer: (a) Yes, the consultant will be responsible for repairs of destructive or invasive sampling.
