About this file
Addendum #2 for Request for Proposal (RFP) 18-009-651 pertains to an IBM Mainframe and IBM Enterprise Storage procurement, which appears to be for a state or local government agency. The addendum provides clarifying details about the existing hardware's current status and removal logistics. The document addresses specific questions about the de-installation process and equipment location, indicating an ongoing technology infrastructure replacement or upgrade project.
The addendum specifies that the existing hardware is currently located in the computer room and awaiting de-installation. A critical logistical detail is the requirement to lay down a hard surface when moving equipment from the computer room to the loading dock to protect existing carpet and tile flooring. The document suggests that IBM banding certification may be required by the purchaser, though the hardware has not yet been de-installed or banded by IBM. These details indicate a carefully managed equipment transition process with specific handling and transportation protocols.
