About this file

This document is an Addendum issued by St. Mary's County Public Schools (SMCPS) for an Invitation to Bid (ITB) related to the refurbishment of the gymnasium floor at Leonardtown High School. The addendum provides changes to the original ITB, including an alternative public bid opening process via a Zoom meeting due to the closure of SMCPS offices, clarification on the formation of the contract, and revisions to the specifications for the wood floor refinishing work. The contract will be awarded for a 35-day period, and SMCPS reserves the right to cancel the contract or make multiple awards.

The revised specifications detail the scope of work, including sanding and refinishing the existing wood floor in the main gymnasium, replacing up to 500 square feet of damaged flooring, and installing new vented rubber base. The specifications also outline the requirements for submittals, qualifications of installers, warranties, job conditions, delivery and storage, material standards, and the refinishing process, including sanding, sealing, painting of game lines and logos, and application of finish coats.
