ADDENDUM 2

DATE: June 27, 2024

TO: VENDORS

FROM: Stephanie Bergozza, Purchasing Director II

RE: Invitation to Bid No. ITB FFS 23 24 123, Caloosahatchee Forestry Center Mobile

Office, Project No. 17104FCO23

This addendum is to provide answers to questions received in reference to this Invitation to Bid.

Question / Answer

1. According to terms, officers are not permitted to subcontract the work. The transportation company and the driver have to be contracted. The crane operator has to be contracted from Fort Myers. Most of the time we will order the basic building from another vendor and customize the required options at our location. Is that considered subcontracting?

Clarifying Question: Regarding the Highlighted section below, the referred to list will be provided after an award is made, correct?

The Department requests the awarded vendor perform the requirements outlined in this ITB. If the awarded vendor requires a subcontractor for commodity/service delivery, the awarded vendor must submit a list of subcontractors, in writing, to the Department’s Contract Manager for written approval. The awarded vendor shall comply with all laws regarding prompt payment to subcontractors, including Section 287.0585, Florida Statutes.

Clarifying Answer: Correct. Once this ITB is awarded, the winning vendor will provide a list of required subcontractor(s) to fulfill the ITB specifications.

This Addendum is hereby incorporated into and made a part of the above noted Invitation to Bid.

All other terms, conditions and specifications of this Invitation to Bid will remain the same. For questions regarding this Addendum, please contact the Purchasing Office at (850) 617-7181 or email at Bids@FDACS.gov.

Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in Section 120.57(3), Florida Statutes, or failure to post the bond or other security required by law within the time allowed for filing a bond shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, Florida Statutes.
