About this file

This is Addendum Two to a Request for Proposal issued by Colorado Parks and Wildlife for the Southeast Regional Office, dated February 25, 2016, regarding project DQ1: 2016001009-2 PMAA-2016-SELA-CONSTRUCT CONCRETE WALLS, CURBS AND FLATWORK. The addendum clarifies and revises language in the original request for proposal and must be acknowledged by all proposers on page 1 of the Bid Schedule. Key clarifications include acceptance of either 4x8 or 6x12 cylinders for geo-technical testing, permission to use the supplier's rice value for asphalt testing without requiring a proctor due to small asphalt quantities, and elimination of the coring requirement for verifying asphalt depth, with the Project Manager verifying on-site that the minimum 4-inch compacted depth is met. Additionally, contractors may install new sod matching the existing Blue Grass Sod currently on the site if chosen.

All concrete, asphalt, construction debris, and tree stumps designated for removal must be removed from the site and properly disposed of at the contractor's expense. Existing sod removal, if not being stored and reset, may be hauled and dumped by the contractor at the agency's borrow dirt site as directed by the Project Manager. The Project Manager identified in the addendum is Shaun C. Gordon, RLA Design & Construction, located at the Southeast Regional Office in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

PMAA-2016-SELA-CONSTRUCT CONCRETE WALLS, CURBS AND FLATWORK

To Whom It May Concern:

The following items clarify or revise the language of the subject request for proposal and should be considered by all Proposer’s when submitting their proposal. Make sure to note receipt of this addendum on page 1 of the Bid Schedule.

Announcements and answers to questions are in Bold type:

1. Question: Our Geo-Tech is asking if you require a 4x8 or 6x12 cylinders?

I will accept either size be used for testing.

2. Question: Because there is such a small quantity of asphalt are we able to use the supplier’s rice? Or would we need to run a proctor?

I will accept the suppliers Rice value being used.

3. Question: Are you going to require coring?

I will not require coring to verify depth. I will plan on being at the site to verify depth of asphalt placed meets or exceeds our minimum 4” compacted depth.

4. Plan Sheet SP-2 - Sod Cut, Remove, Store and Reset:

If the Contractor chooses, we will allow new sod to be installed that matches the Blue Grass Sod currently installed.

5. All Concrete, asphalt, construction debris and tree stumps designated for removal shall be removed from the Site and properly disposed of at the Contractors Expense. Existing Sod removal, if not being stored and re-set, will be allowed to be hauled and dumped by the Contractor at our borrow dirt site and as directed by the Project Manager.
