About this file

This is Addendum No. 2 to Request for Bid (RFB) No. RFB-189-26 issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, for a Public Bathroom Facility—ADA Accessible project at the EDU-FFA Leadership Training Camp operated by the Department of Education in Hardinsburg, Kentucky (Breckinridge County). The addendum, dated February 25, 2026, clarifies and modifies the original bidding documents, drawings, and specifications. Bidders are required to acknowledge receipt of this addendum on the proposal form. The general contractor must complete a Department of Housing, Buildings and Construction (DHBC) required Affidavit of Assurances, which will be provided by the architect following selection of the apparent low bidder.

The addendum provides specific structural design criteria for the project located at 111 FFA Camp Road, Hardinsburg, Kentucky (Engineering File: 540-CC65-FF27-00). Design parameters include foundations with an assumed soil bearing capacity of 1,500 PSF and lateral bearing pressure of 200 PSF, with concrete compressive strength of 3,500 PSI at 28 days. Specified design loads include roof live loads of 20 PSF, floor live loads of 100 PSF, design wind loads of 16 PSF with a 3-second gust velocity of 115 MPH, ground snow loads of 15 PSF, and wood truss loads with bottom chord dead load of 10 PSF and live load of 5 PSF, top chord dead load of 15 PSF and live load of 20 PSF, wind loading of 90 PSF, with total deflection limitations of L/240 and live load deflection of L/360. The design specifies that no horizontal thrust shall be applied to walls.
