About this file

This is an addendum to a refuse and recyclables collection bid issued by the City of Edgerton, Wisconsin. The addendum, dated September 13, 2020, modifies the original bid documents for a 5-year contract with an option to renew for an additional 5 years. The City seeks qualified vendors to provide collection, transportation, disposal, and processing of refuse, recyclables, and specialty waste for approximately 1,899 trash collection units and 1,923 recycling units. The formal bid opening was scheduled for Wednesday, September 16, 2020, at 11:00 AM at Edgerton City Hall, located at 12 Albion Street, Edgerton, Wisconsin 53534. Bid documents were available at www.cityofedgerton.com or vendornet.wi.gov, with questions directed to Ramona Flanigan, City Administrator, at (608) 884-3341 or rflanigan@cityofedgerton.com.

The addendum addresses tonnage estimation for bidding purposes, as the City was unable to verify actual tonnage collected. All bidders are required to use 1,600 tons as the average annual tonnage for their bid submissions. The final contract will include a reopener clause if actual tonnage collected exceeds 1,600 tons by more than 10 percent above or below the established baseline. The City reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive informalities, and negotiate contract terms with the selected provider at its sole discretion.
