About this file
Addendum No. 2 for Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2025-045 is issued by Union County, North Carolina for the Downtown Waxhaw Cast-Iron Watermain Replacement project. The addendum modifies the original bid documents by adding two new bid items: Line 27 for Pavement Replacement and Line 28 for Milling & Paving 2" Asphalt Surface Course, both for NCDOT and Town of Waxhaw maintained roadways. The bid date remains May 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM local time, with bids to be submitted at the Union County Government Center. The project involves furnishing materials, equipment, and labor for installing approximately 8,000 linear feet of water main ranging from 2-inch to 12-inch sizes, along with related appurtenances.
The addendum includes updates to technical specifications, particularly Section 01025.1.04 on Measurement and Payment, which now incorporates the new pavement replacement and milling items. A question and answer section addresses bidder inquiries, including a clarification about asphalt replacement quantities. The engineer's estimate is not available at this time, and bidders are directed to refer to the Contract Documents for project start date and additional contract time information. The addendum emphasizes that bidders must acknowledge receipt of this document on the Bid Form, with failure to do so potentially resulting in disqualification. The contingency allowance remains $30,000, and the documents will be uploaded to the online plan room and distributed to registered plan holders.

This Suggested Form of Agreement has been prepared for use with the Standard General Conditions of the Construction Contract (EJCDC C-700, 2007 Edition). Their provisions are interrelated, and a change in one may necessitate a change in the other. The language contained in the Suggested
