About this file

This document is an Addendum #2 issued by the California Department of Highway Patrol (CHP) regarding IFB #23C456007 for Fire Alarm Replacement Services at the Oakhurst Area office. The addendum extends the bid due date to Friday, April 19, 2024 by 10:00 a.m. and provides revisions to the Exhibit A, Scope of Work, including confirmation of quantities, verification on the limitation of the project, and a demonstration of the new system's functionality. The project requires the replacement of the fire alarm system components including the alarm panel, smoke detectors, heat sensors, strobes, pull stations, modules, relays, and duct smoke detectors. The contractor must have a valid C-10 Electrical Contractor license and provide a payment bond equal to 100 percent of the agreement value. The services must be performed during normal business hours at the CHP Oakhurst Area office.

The project is funded by the State of California and targeted towards firms capable of providing the required fire alarm replacement services. The contractor must factor in all activation fees, materials, labor, and travel costs into the bid amount, as separate charges will not be allowed. This project is only for the replacement of equipment, and monitoring and testing of the new system is covered under a separate contract.
