2. The requirements contained in Specification Section 074000 – Metal Roof and Siding Panels are amended to include requirements for workmanship warranty and maintenance bond. Amended requirements now include the following:

Specification Section 074000 – Metal Roof and Siding Panels

1.11 Warranty

E. Special Warranty: Manufacturer’s standard form in which manufacturer agrees to repair or replace components of metal panel systems that fail in materials or workmanship within specified warranty period.

1. Failures include, but are not limited to, the following:

a. Structural failures including rupturing, cracking, or puncturing.

b. Deterioration of metals and other materials beyond normal weathering.

2. Warranty Period: Two years from date of Substantial

Completion.

F. Refer to the West Virginia Purchasing Division, Solicitation Document, for information specific to the required 2 year maintenance bond for the subject project.

3. Specification Section 033000, Cast-in-Place Concrete requires the contractor to engage a qualified independent testing and inspection agency for field quality control for all cast-in-place concrete utilized on the project. The specification indicates in Section 3.15 that the Owner will employ and pay for a qualified independent testing and inspecting agency to sample materials, perform tests, and submit test reports during concrete placement. This addendum will change the requirements in this section from the Owner employing and paying for a qualified independent testing and inspecting agency to the Contractor employing and paying for the independent testing and inspecting agency.

4. The following clarification is made regarding metal racks/wire shelving (Model No.

H-1752-72 by ULINE) listed in the fish and mussel hatchery equipment lists included on Drawings A904 and AP1.01.

The contractor shall provide 30 shelving units as indicated on AP1.01 and shall locate 23 shelving units as shown on Drawing A904. The remaining 7 shelving units shall be located in the storage rooms and workshops as directed by the hatchery manager. A. Drawing C-3 shows four concrete slabs with turndown edges along the building exterior.

Three are for heating/cooling equipment and one is for an emergency generator. The detail for concrete slabs with turndown edges is shown on Drawing C-9. Following the pre-bid meeting of September 1, 2022, Mon Power visited the site to evaluate extension of electric service to the new building. Mon Power provided a detail and requirements for the concrete transformer pad.

See Attachment A for the transformer pad detail. Attachment A replaces the transformer pad detail shown on Drawing C-12.

Q.6. Does fire alarm cable have to be completely in conduit back to panel or are we to rough in to above ceiling?

A. Intent is to rough in to above ceiling. Conduit will be required in rooms with no ceilings.

Q.7. There is a detail and a fixture spec for site lighting but there are none shown on the drawings?

A. There are no exterior pole lights required for this project.

Q.8. Can MC whips be used on light fixture?

A. Yes.

Q.9. Does the service feeder conduit that passes under the gravel parking area need to be encased in concrete?
