About this file
This document is an Addendum Number 2 issued by the Alaska Railroad Corporation for Request for Quote 25-64-213843803, specifically for a 501 Passenger Coach Interior Refurbishment and Upholstery project. The addendum provides clarification on the scope of work for lower-level bench seating, with offers to be received until 3:00 pm local time on October 9, 2025. The project involves installing new bench seating in place of existing gift shop cabinets, with specific design requirements including hinge-up seat bottoms to provide storage compartments underneath.
The addendum details material responsibilities, noting that the upholstery fabric (Naugahyde) will be provided by the client, while the contractor is responsible for foam cushioning. The contractor is required to use a provided dining car sample as a conceptual reference for frame design, with the final design subject to client review and approval. The bench seating must be adapted to fit the dimensions specified in the 501 refurbishment plans. All other terms and conditions of the original contract remain unchanged and in full effect.
