About this file

This is Addendum No. 1 to an Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) #06A3266 issued by the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) Division of Procurement and Contracts for building upgrade services at the Kettleman City Maintenance Station in Kings County. The solicitation requests contractor services for three primary scope items: removal and replacement of an exterior door, re-painting of interior walls and ceilings in the office area, and electrical upgrades including lighting system and power supply installation for covered bunkers, all performed per Standard 213 specifications. A mandatory site inspection is scheduled for March 12, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at 32169 Brown Street, Kettleman City, CA 93239, where bidders must sign in and out; authorized representatives may attend on behalf of prime contractors, but subcontractors cannot represent prime contractors. The written question submittal deadline is March 12, 2026 at 5:00 p.m., with the final quote submission due March 19, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. The estimated award date is March 26, 2026. Reasonable accommodations for bidders with physical impairments will be provided upon request made no later than five working days before the site inspection.

The Price Quote Proposal requires bidders to provide lump sum pricing for the three primary scope items plus an hourly rate for unforeseen labor estimated at 160 hours. Item 5 of the proposal establishes a maximum allowable expenditure for parts, materials, supplies, fees, and permits set at 10 percent of the actual subtotal amount, reimbursable based on original receipts. All materials must be new unless otherwise specified, free from defects, and subject to inspection by the Caltrans Contract Manager. Any unforeseen labor not reasonably anticipated in the scope of work requires written notification and pre-approval from the Caltrans Contract Manager before performance, with reimbursement based on the bid hourly rate; work performed without prior written approval will not be reimbursed. Bidders must use the revised Attachment 1 Price Quote Proposal; submissions using the original attachment will be deemed non-responsive. Each line item must be quoted in full with no blank unit price columns, and no alterations or modifications to the quote proposal sheet are permitted.
