About this file

This is Addendum 1 to an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by the City of Janesville, Janesville Transit System for a Mileage Tire Leasing Program (IFB JTS-IFB-2019-1), dated March 22, 2019. The addendum documents the City's responses to questions submitted by potential bidders during the question submittal period. The City rejected a request to extend the access to records and reports timeframe from three days to thirty days. The City accepted a modification to clarify that bid evaluation will be based on certified copies of proof of insurance, completed certification forms, and information from the bid price form and tire data sheet. The City accepted revisions to insurance requirements that specify general liability or self-insurance coverage, vehicle liability, and property damage insurance with tail coverage to protect the City and Transit System from claims arising from contract operations.

The City declined to remove insurance-related provisions requiring ten-day written notice of policy cancellation, renewal, or material change, and rejected removal of language reserving the City's right to purchase alternative insurance and withhold costs from bidder payments if required insurance is not maintained. The City also rejected a request to approve the B305/70R22.5 Metro Miler G652 RTB tire as an approved equal, and specified that 8.25-inch rim width is the approved specification for the required tire product.
