About this file
This document is an Addendum to a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Florida Gaming Control Commission (Commission) for a Compulsive or Addictive Gambling Prevention Program. The RFI seeks information on providing Floridians with this program, and the gathered information may be used to develop a future competitive solicitation. The RFI provides details on the program, including that the target audience is individuals with compulsive and/or addictive gambling problems, and that the Commission does not currently have an active contract for a gambling helpline. The RFI also indicates that $2,000,000 is allocated for the program in fiscal year 2024-2025, with potential additional funding of $1,500,000 annually from the Seminole Tribe of Florida. The Addendum updates the timeline, extending the deadline for submitting questions to August 9, 2024, and the deadline for responding to the RFI to September 3, 2024.
The RFI states that the Commission will consider all media channels suggested in response to the RFI, and that any contract for the program will have quantifiable, measurable, and verifiable units of deliverables related to the scope of work. The Commission does not currently have any promotional assets for the program and is open to considering all information provided in response to the RFI. The program will be subject to an annual appropriation by the Florida legislature, and the initial and renewal terms have not yet been determined.
