About this file
This is Addendum 1 to Invitation for Bid (IFB) C5612119-D issued by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) Division of Administrative Services. The addendum addresses questions received during the letters of inquiry period regarding the removal and disposal of Tritium Exit signs from 1 Kings Way location. Key clarifications include that no new Tritium Exit signs will be needed, the work location is limited to 1 Kings Way, and subcontractors do not require special badge access as long as they work outside the security perimeter in the Central Accumulation Area (CAA). The bid submission deadline remains February 18th, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
The addendum clarifies that annual training for RHB CA is not required for out-of-state bidders to submit bids. Subcontractors must provide notification letters to both the NRC and RHB of California regarding proper disposal through a licensed company. If bidders submit a new bid, their first bid will be returned unopened. Previously submitted bids will remain unopened until the new bid opening date if no new bid is submitted. The Contract Analyst, LaCreshia Tolefree, is available for questions regarding this addendum.

RE: INVITATION FOR BID (IFB) NUMBER C5612119-D, ADDENDUM NUMBER 1
The purpose of this Addendum 1 is to answer the following questions asked during the letters of inquiry period:
Question #1 Will new Tritium Exit signs be needed? If so, there is a discount on disposal of tritium exit signs?
CDCR Response to Question #1 No, new Tritium Exit signs will not be needed.
Question #2 Is 1 Kings Way the only address these are being removed from?
CDCR Response to Question #2
Yes, 1 Kings way is the only location the exit signs are being removed from.
Question #3 Will subcontractors require any special badge access or require any type of clearance beforehand?
CDCR Response to Question #3 No, as long they are working on the outside of the security perimeter such as the Central Accumulation Area (CAA), where the exit signs are kept.
Question #4 Our company is located in Ohio, and we are distributor for SRB Technologies, North Carolina.
1. We do not complete annual training for the RHB CA. As a company from Ohio, would this be required for us to bid?
2. Our subcontractor will provide letters to the NRC and the RHB of California notifying them
(screenshot below) of proper disposal through a licensed company. Is that sufficient to meet this requirement?
CDCR Response to Question #4
1. No, annual training is not required in order for you to submit a bid.
2. It is sufficient as long as the subcontractor provides a letter to the NRC and RHB of California.
All required documents listed in the Bid Submittal Checklist must be included within the sealed bid package.
The letters of inquiry period ended on February 6, 2025.
The deadline for submission of your bid remains February 18th, by 11:00 AM.
Prospective Bidders
If you submit a new bid, your first bid will be returned unopened. However, if you have already submitted a bid and you do not submit a new bid, your current bid shall remain in our files, unopened, until the new bid opening date.
