About this file

This document is an Addendum to the Request for Proposal (RFP) for the repair of MARC MP36PH-3C Locomotive #10, issued by the Maryland Transit Administration (MDOT MTA). The addendum provides clarification on various aspects of the scope of work, including the preparation of the prime mover for removal and re-installation, the responsibility for providing equipment and rigging, and the requirements for engine break-in and dynamometer testing. The addendum also addresses questions and responses related to the RFP, and includes a pre-proposal meeting agenda and attendance list. The contract is for a one-year period with a two-year warranty period.

The RFP does not have any Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) goals, and there are no bond requirements. The contract is state-funded, and the successful contractor must meet the insurance requirements outlined in the RFP, including Railroad Liability Insurance. Proposals will be evaluated based on the criteria set forth in the RFP, and a contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror submitting the most advantageous proposal.
