This is Addendum No. 1 to a solicitation issued by Colorado Parks and Wildlife for the Government Creek OHV Trail Reroute project (DQ1 Number: 2027*032). The project involves constructing a new OHV trail and ATV trail reroute, including vegetation clearing, grading, stormwater management, installation of fencing to block old trails, and site restoration. An optional job show was held on August 4, 2026, with attendance not required to bid. The question deadline is 11:00 a.m. on Friday, August 7, 2026, with bids due by August 12, 2026 at 11:00 a.m. via email to eric.blake@state.co.us or delivered to 711 Independent Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado 81505. Payment will be made at unit prices for each bid item as specified in the Measurement and Payment Section, with several bid items including a 10% contingency to design quantities.

Bids under $150,000 will result in issuance of a Purchase Order, while bids exceeding $150,000 will require execution of a contract and submission of a Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Bond. No bid bond is required with bid submittal. Bidders must submit a signed Bid Schedule acknowledging any addendums, a W-9 form, and SDVOSB certification if applicable. Required insurance includes Commercial General Liability, Automobile, Workers Compensation, and Pollution Liability. The addendum clarifies that compaction testing is not required but contractors should compact trail tread to the greatest extent possible; no blasting is anticipated; the finished ATV trail tread width shall be 55 inches; and disturbed areas outside the finished tread shall be broadcast seeded and left uninviting to drive on. The Project Manager will stake trail alignment prior to construction.
