About this file

This document is Addendum 1 for Invitation for Bid (IFB) #251-26-141 issued by Wake County Public School System, addressing Math Fluency Resources procurement. The addendum provides responses to vendor questions regarding payment methods, background check requirements, and material specifications. The district confirmed they will accept payments via purchase order with ACH or check, and will grant an exception to Lunsford Act/Criminal Background Check requirements for vendors not directly contacting students. The addendum clarifies the procurement involves two sets of math materials: Set 1 covering basic number, addition, and subtraction concepts (82 kits needed), and Set 2 covering multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals (28 kits needed). Vendors are not required to submit physical samples at this time but may do so voluntarily.

The addendum indicates flexibility in the procurement process, with the district open to vendor samples and willing to accommodate vendor payment and background check concerns. The materials are intended for schoolwide use, with one set of materials serving an entire building. The procurement targets math fluency resources across various mathematical skill levels, specifically designed to support special education students in grades 1-5. While the addendum does not specify precise pricing details, it provides vendors with critical information about kit quantities and material content to help them formulate accurate pricing quotes. The document suggests a collaborative approach to the procurement, allowing vendors to seek clarification and demonstrate their resources' alignment with the district's educational needs.

Questions for IFB #251-26-141 – Math Fluency Resources

Reference Vendor Question Answers

Is the district able to make payments using checks or ACH in lieu of a procurement card?

Yes. A purchase order will be issued for any purchases, which will then be paid via ACH or check.

Regarding the Lunsford Act/Criminal Background Checks, will the district grant us an exception since we do not come into contact with students?

Yes.

Our materials are generally used schoolwide, with one copy of a set of materials serving a building.

Set 1 covers the following skills and concepts:

• Number: Counting & Early Place Value

• Operations: Basic Addition & Subtraction

• Base Ten Operations: Addition & Subtraction with Multi-Digit

Numbers

• Addition & Subtraction Problem Situations

Set 2 covers the following skills and concepts:

• Operations: Basic Multiplication & Division

• Multiplication & Division of Multi-Digit Numbers

• Multiplication & Division Problem Situations

• Adding, Subtracting & Making Sense of Fractions

• Money & Decimals

Based on that information, how many buildings would need Set 1 materials and how many buildings would need Set 2 materials (to help us formulate an accurate pricing quote)?

Set 1: 82 Set 2: 28 kits

Is the district requesting any physical samples or digital access to materials at this time or just a response to the IFB?

Samples are not required at this time, but vendors are welcome to send them if they wish.
