About this file
This document is an addendum to a request for proposals (RFP) issued by the City of Thomasville, Georgia for the procurement of a horizontal cardboard baler with a chamber door and conveyor. The addendum provides clarification on several questions from potential bidders, including the existence of any current equipment, the location for installation, whether the application is indoor or outdoor, the size of the cardboard pieces, and the method of loading material onto the conveyor. The addendum also states that the city is open to considering both new and used equipment, and that there is no preference for a specific model, as long as the submitted proposal meets the city's expectations. The RFP response deadline is June 28, 2024 at 11:30 AM EST.
The addendum indicates that the city is willing to provide a guided site visit for interested bidders, and that questions must be submitted by June 20, 2024 at 2 PM, with responses provided by May 24, 2024 at noon. The city is looking for a horizontal cardboard baler that can handle mixed, flattened, and corrugated cardboard pieces up to approximately 15x12x10 inches in size, and the material will be loaded onto the conveyor by hand and power industrial trucks.
