About this file

This Addendum 1 document pertains to Invitation to Bid No. RFB-98-27 issued by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Department for Facilities and Support Services, Division of Engineering and Contract Administration, on behalf of the Wendell H. Ford Regional Training Center under the Department of Military Affairs in Greenville, Kentucky. The project involves Cypress Creek Restoration Phase IV and includes modifications to herbicide application methods for invasive species management and clarification on culvert installation specifications. Specification 32 94 10 has been amended to permit unmanned aerial vehicles, helicopters, and manual herbicide application, with previously disturbed phases requiring manual spraying and undisturbed areas allowing either aerial or helicopter application methods, subject to flight plan approval. Tree clearing activities are restricted to November 15 through March 31, and culvert crossing specifications are detailed in Specification 33 42 13. The project includes a single application to designated areas shown on Drawing Sheet Number 04, with questions accepted through October 19, 2026, and the technical contact identified as Jared Looney, PE (jlooney@thirdrockconsultants.com / 859-977-2000).

The addendum addresses bidding procedures, confirming that application subcontractors who did not attend site visits may participate under eligible prime bidders, and that the plan holder list is available through Lynn Imaging. Registered DJI drones are permitted for the project. Culvert specifications require polymer-coated corrugated metal pipe conforming to KYTC Standard Specifications, with specific gauge requirements based on diameter, along with corrugated bands, Type I geotextile fabric, clean limestone rock, and backfill materials sourced from required excavations or approved borrow areas. Installation tolerances require stone and culvert inverts to be within 0.2 feet of drawing specifications. Winning bid information is available through open records requests, though application-specific estimates are not publicly disclosed. No pricing details, funding sources, or contract award information are provided in this addendum document.
