About this file
This document is an Addendum to an Invitation to Bid issued by the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) for the Wauchula SFM Paving and Resurfacing Project, Project No. FDACS 1103. The project involves parking lot paving improvements at the Wauchula State Farmers' Market located in Wauchula, Florida. The addendum provides answers to vendor questions, including approval to use LBR 100 limerock instead of the originally specified LBR 125 limerock. All other terms and conditions of the Invitation to Bid remain the same.
The contract opportunity is for state and local jurisdictions, including Leon County and the City of Tallahassee. The project description indicates the need for competitive bids, and the addendum revises the timeline and pricing sheet. No other salient information, such as pricing terms, set asides, or funding sources, is provided in this document.

ADDENDUM 1
TO: VENDORS
FROM: NICOLE LOMAN, GOVERNMENT ANALYST I
RE: INVITATION TO BID NO. GS 23 24 102
WAUCHULA SFM AND RESURFACING PROJECT
FDACS PROJECT #1103
This addendum is to provide answers to questions received in reference to this Invitation to Bid.
Question / Answer
1. In the above-mentioned bid, for Alternate 1. It states to “Provide and construct a new 4” thick limerock subgrade base course layer, minimum LBR 125”
Limerock with an LBR of 125 is not a typical limerock that we use in road construction. This type of limerock is typically only seen in runways for aviation applications. The FDOT only requires limerock with an LBR of 100 for any limerock base installed on their projects from Interstates to driveways.
Amazon and other large warehouses similar to this farmer’s market but have higher traffic volumes also only require LBR 100.
Are we able to use LBR 100 limerock instead of LBR 125? Or place 4” of SP-
12.5 in lieu of limerock? Or place 4” of SP-12.5 in lieu of limerock?
LBR 100 limerock shall be used in lieu of LBR 125.
This Addendum is hereby incorporated into and made a part of the above noted Invitation to Bid. All other terms, conditions, and specifications of this Invitation to Bid will remain the same.
