About this file
This document is Addendum No. 1 for the Garfield County "As Needed Culverts" Invitation for Bid (IFB-GC-RB-02-25), which addresses potential vendor questions regarding a culvert materials procurement opportunity. The solicitation covers culvert materials ranging from 12"-48" in size, with the county planning to place one-off orders through 2025 and a bulk order at the end of the year to have materials on hand in 2026. The Scope of Work indicates quantities are "as needed" with approximate annual quantities provided to potential bidders.
The addendum specifically addresses two vendor inquiries: first, about the uncertainty of order quantities and potential delivery charges, and second, about potential future tariffs. The county clarified that they will continue their "as needed" ordering approach, with one-off orders throughout 2025 and a larger year-end order for 2026 inventory. Regarding tariffs, the county indicated no current discussions have occurred about potential future tariffs that might impact vendor pricing. This approach allows flexibility for both the county and potential vendors in managing culvert material procurement.

Addendum No.1
Q&A
Q1: I’m wanting to quote your request of culverts ranging from 12”-48” however with not knowing if it’s a onesie-twosie shipment it’s hard to quote it. If you could give me quantities, I can get you a fair quote with delivery charges A1: The department will order one offs through 2025 and then a bulk order at the end of year to have on hand in 2026. It states in the Scope of Work the quantity is “as needed” and approximate annual quantities are provided.
Q2: On the annual CMP bid for as needed culverts has there been any discussion as to upcoming or future tariffs being enacted beyond vendor control.
A2: No there has not been any discussions at this time.
